The South Africa Scene :
Has the new South African Coach extended an olive branch to Benni McCarthy, currently playing for Blackburn Rovers, to get one of our most talented strikers back into the national side? Rumour has it that Benni will lead the attack in the international friendlies against Japan at the Nelson Mandela Stadium in Port Elizabeth on the 14th Nov as well as the game against Jamaica on the 17th. Let’s see a few goals already South Africa!- When will the new Coach jet into SA from Brazil – SAFA is keeping mum about Carlos Alberto Parreira’s arrival – but I bet he’ll be here by Friday. About time – we can get down to business then!
England :
Has Beckham started his campaign to get into the 2010 England squad? I guess it’s pretty clear that his loan to play for AC Milan is to ensure he is seen by the England Management playing competitive football! I suppose even though he is yet another glamor boy of the game it’ll be good to see talent like his in the World Cup. He’ll return to his American club, Galaxy, after the World Cup.

Ten days to go before the last round of qualifying matches – 21 matches and 10 spots left. What surprises can we expect!?
Well it’ll all be over by the 18th and we’ll know and Cape Town will be one big party on 4th December for the final draw!
