Celtic vs Rangers, Barca vs Real, Olympiakos vs Panathinaikos …….. CHIEFS vs PIRATES
Rated by London’s Daily Mail as the 14th greatest Derby world-wide, the Soweto giants clash at 15:15 on 31st Oct at the revamped Orlando Stadium. Although neither team is doing particularly well in the PSL this year the competition will be tough with more than just points on the League log to play for.
Bucs will be looking for a morale boosting win after falling from the upper levels of the table over the last few weeks but they will have to guard against the Amakhosi who will be looking to reverse double defeats in the PSL derbies last year.

The Players to watch out for:
Jimmy Tau, Chief’s Captain, needs to be influential in pulling his team together for a timely win over their rivals on a pitch that will soon be frequented by the stars of world soccer.
Pirates Teko Modise has the talent but has he got the form? Perhaps it will make a reappearance in this game.
Laduuuuuma!

The much anticipated Derby only came to life in the last 15minutes. Pirates’ keeper Moeneeb Josephs had the most work to do with two excellent saves in the dying minutes, the one from a well struck free kick from Tshabalala that penetrated the Bucs wall with ease. Vladimir Vermezovic will probably be quite pleased with the result although he would have been much happier if his charges had come away with a goal from the strike that hit the Pirates woodwork in the last 30seconds of the game. Score 0:0. Maybe next time Amakhozi!
