Day 1 of the World Cup was a resounding success with us all waiting with baited breath to see who will take the lead in Group A after the first two games ended in draws. South Africa vs Mexico 1:1 and France vs Uruguay 0:0. The opening game was the most exciting with the Mexicans

The death Robert Enke, the Hannover 96 goalkeeper, and the motorcycle accident of Carlo Cudicini, Tottenham Hotspur’s goalie have reminded me that these amazing sportmen are also human like the rest of us and are exposed to the same pressures and risks of the “real” world.
